Scrib does not collect any data. Everything stays on your device.
When you record a voice note, the audio is processed by a speech-recognition model that runs entirely on your device. The resulting transcript is stored locally on your device. Neither your audio nor your transcripts are ever transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Scrib connects to the internet for exactly one purpose: downloading the speech-recognition model when you choose one (the size is shown before download). This is a file download only — nothing about you, your audio, or your transcripts is sent.
If you add custom dictionary corrections, they sync between your own devices through your personal iCloud account using Apple's key-value storage. Apple's iCloud terms apply; we have no access to this data.
All data lives on your device. Delete a transcript in the app, or delete the app, and it is gone. There is nothing to delete on any server, because there is no server.
